Information taken from: The Milky Way Galaxy.

Our galaxy is known as the Milky Way, which got it's name from ancient times where milk was poured and was said to have turned into the galaxy. The galaxy is home to at least 200 to 400 billion stars and their planets.

The Milky Way is known as a spiral galaxy and belongs to the "Local Group" which is a small group of other galaxies. Our galaxy is probably the most massive of all the galaxies in this group.

Our solar system is located within the outer regions of the galaxy. The center of the galaxy is said to lie in the direction of the constellation Sagittarius, but also close the borders of both Scoprius and Ophiuchus.

Really, that's all I can say without getting far too technical for the worth. As it can be seen, Naoko was sort of right in saying that the center of the galaxy was at Sagittarius!
